Cricket has largely disappeared from state school sports curricula. Private schools play it every week. That inequality starts young — and Equal Edge is determined to change it.
We work directly with state primary and secondary schools across East London and Essex, bringing qualified coaches, full equipment sets, and structured lesson plans — at a heavily discounted rate to the school.
Partner your school →Six programmes, designed for the communities who need them — free for those who need it most, heavily discounted for schools and partner organisations.
Our flagship programme: weekly coached cricket sessions for young people aged 8 to 18 across East London and Essex. Soft-ball beginners to development-squad level. All equipment provided. No experience needed.

Cricket has all but disappeared from state school sports timetables — while private schools play it weekly. Equal Edge is on a mission to change that. We bring the sport directly into state schools across East London and Essex, at a heavily discounted rate.
We provide qualified coaches, full equipment, and curriculum-linked lesson plans for KS2, KS3, and KS4 pupils. Schools do not need to provide any equipment or specialist knowledge — we bring everything.
Dedicated outreach to Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities across our boroughs — where sport participation rates are statistically lower, and cultural barriers to mainstream provision are greatest.
We deliver culturally sensitive programmes, provide multilingual support where possible, and ensure our coaches reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
Women-only and girls-only sessions in cricket and fitness, delivered by female coaches in culturally sensitive, private settings. No experience needed. Equipment provided.
Six-week workshop series for young people aged 12–18 covering teamwork, leadership, goal-setting, healthy lifestyles, and resilience — using sport as the vehicle for personal development.
Fully adapted cricket and fitness sessions for participants with disabilities or special needs. We work with each individual to ensure full, meaningful participation — not a watered-down version of someone else's session.
Under our CIC model, participants who need it most receive free access to cricket and fitness equipment, with heavily discounted access for partner schools and organisations. Helmets, bats, pads, balls — everything needed to take part.
